Championship Rescheduled

6/5/2006 Due to an emergent scheduling conflict, the start date for the WGOSA Championship has been delayed until August 1. Accordingly, we are pushing the deadline for registration forward to July 20. To date, AuntBeast, Roman Khorkov, Jeff Peltier, and Danny Purvis have all signaled an intention to play.

The WGOSA Championship 2006 is open to anyone who wants to play, including mechanical beings. Play will be by email. Normal and misere serves of up to 26 spots will be allowed. This tournament will be a round robin or Swiss system tournament, depending upon the number of entrants. Time controls have not yet been decided but the current plan is for the tournament to be completed in around five weeks. (The games will need to be rather quick, perhaps with players pledging to limit their total thinking time per game to four hours. We solicit ideas on this (or any other) topic.)

The deadline for registration is July 20. To register, please send an email to wgosa_dpurvis@yahoo.com announcing your wish to be included. There is no entry fee.
