Axel Thue Begins!

May 6, 2010

It's on! Games will begin Saturday. The participants are James Cook, Roman Khorkov, and Danny Purvis.

James Cook is WGOSA's newest member, having joined only this week. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science at UC Berkeley, focusing on complexity theory. He must be busy, but he has nevertheless found time recently to browse Sproutster World and to play some practice games against Stefan Reiss's program.

Axel Thue 2010 will be WGOSA's first ever tournament for misere only. Serves up to n=30 will be allowed. This will be a one round tournament and will consist of the players playing simultaneous 4-game matches by email.
